What the service does, what it does not do, and what it costs.
What FIX BEFORE LAUNCH is
FIX BEFORE LAUNCH is an automated external production-readiness check. It loads a URL you give it from the public internet, runs a fixed set of checks against what that URL serves, and reports what it observed.
What it is not
It is not full QA, not penetration testing, and not a complete security audit. It does not read your source code, log into your application, exercise your business logic, or test anything behind authentication.
A READY verdict means only that the required checks completed and that nothing meaningful was found within the scope of those checks. It is not a statement that your application is bug-free, secure, compliant, or fit for any purpose. A problem outside the scope of these checks will not be found by them.
Findings are produced from observed evidence. Any automated check can miss a real problem or report something that turns out not to matter in your context. Treat the report as information to act on, not as a certification.
You must be authorised to scan
You may only submit URLs you own or are explicitly authorised to test. Scanning someone else's site without permission may be unlawful where you are. You are responsible for having that permission, and for the consequences if you do not. We may suspend accounts used to scan sites without authorisation.
The scanner only reaches public internet addresses. It will not scan private, internal, or loopback addresses.
Pricing
- The Free Quick Check costs nothing and needs no account.
- A Full Scan costs $1.00, deducted from your Developer Balance.
- AI Application Testing costs $1.00, deducted from your Developer Balance. It is a separate product, not part of a Full Scan, and buying one does not include the other. Part of it interacts with your AI feature: we send one short, self-identifying test message and one empty one, which may use a small amount of your AI provider's usage allowance. That part only runs on a site you have verified, and never on an AI feature behind a login.
- Each re-scan is a new scan of that product and costs another $1.00.
- The minimum Developer Balance deposit is $5.00.
- There is no subscription. You are never billed on a recurring basis. You pay only when you choose to add balance.
Developer Balance is prepaid credit for FIX BEFORE LAUNCH scans. It is not transferable and has no cash value outside the service. See the Refund Policy.
Availability and liability
The service is provided as is, without warranty. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, or that every check will complete on every site. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
